Clive is currently the Principal Rolling Stock Engineer (Maintenance) within London Underground. He is responsible for the development and implementation of maintenance improvement initiatives, as well as contributing to future maintenance strategy creation.
Clive has worked on a number of maintenance procurement strategy issues for London Underground. He has commissioned and led studies into the relationship between human factors in train maintenance and train systems performance, and has led a number of investigations into incidents influenced by human behaviour that have resulted in engineering change to assets and their maintenance.
Clive has also undertaken a number of studies into understanding human behaviours and their impact on maintenance effectiveness. Leading a team of Professional Engineers Clive's key responsibilities are ensuring that rolling stock maintenance is fit for purpose and is capable of delivering business safety and reliability targets, as well developing and implementing maintenance strategies to improve cost effective maintenance delivery.
From a career in railway industry both main line and metro spanning 24 years he has significant experience in major project delivery, railway operations, and rolling stock maintenance and train systems engineering. Clive holds a degree in Law, and a Masters Degree in Railway Systems Engineering & Integration.
